caregiving apps

Apps allow us to easily access information from our tablets or phones. Caregiving is a difficult job which requires dedication, commitment, and organization. Caregiving apps help you deal with the stressful and sometimes overwhelming job of caring for a loved one with COPD. We’ve compiled two great apps here:

1. CareZone

CareZone is similar to Caregiver’s Touch, but free. If you like the idea of Caregiver’s Touch but don’t want to shell out the money, it might be a good app to try and see how much you actually use. The only feature it doesn’t have is prescription management, which can be difficult for some people who must keep tabs on multiple prescriptions. Available for Apple and Android devices.

2. Lotsa Helping Hands

Lotsa Helping Hands is a great way to build a community of caregivers and find the support you need as a caregiver. You can invite family members to be a part of the care circle and they can offer concrete help if they’ve offered. It also has a message board which allows you to leave notes of encouragement for each other. With a newsletter and other community-based features, it helps create a coalition of volunteers. Available for Apple devices.
